My flight to Washington DC was uneventful. My seat partner was a pharmaceutical scientist who works for the FDA evaluating and releasing new drugs. He has been here from China for 11 years...went to Ohio State. What I thought was interesting is that he hasn't a clue what happens to the drugs he OK's after his stamp of approval moves them forward. He has no idea how the health care system works. Formulary committees to him are totally confusing. He believes that all the drugs should be available, no matter what the cost, including "me too's". It was a very interesting conversation with someone in the dark.

My body is totally confused about what time it is. I have been up most of the time since 1:30AM and am beginning to wind down. If I can just keep myself awake until about 11PM I will do so much better but I don't think there is much chance of that. Have to find a new restaurant other than that of the hotel...,today has been filled with stale, smooshed rolls, dirty table, wrong salad delivered, moldy strawberries and a cockroach. I actually spoke to the hotel manager which is a first for me.
